Welcome
Therapy, backed by science, tailored to you
My practice combines extensive knowledge of the decades of research on effective interventions for children, adolescents, and young adults with a personalized approach that integrates your individual concerns. There are many evidence-based strategies that have worked for many people but not all of them work for everyone. I create customized evaluations and treatment plans for each individual and walk through them with you one step at a time.

About
About Me
I am a UCLA-trained licensed clinical psychologist (CA License # PSY27697) with more than 15 years of clinical and research experience in community-based, outpatient, academic and hospital settings. I specialize in treating youth and young adults with anxiety and depressive disorders. My treatment strategies are grounded in the principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and are focused on helping individuals achieve their short and long-term goals so that they can lead the lives they envision for themselves.
How It Works

Brief Consultation
We connect by phone or video call so I can learn more about what you are looking for and we can determine whether it is a good fit. If there is a fit, we schedule the diagnostic evaluation. If it is not a fit, I am happy to provide referrals based on your needs.

Comprehensive Evaluation
At the first appointment, I go through a comprehensive interview to find out more about your current concerns and other major areas of your life as well as your goals for treatment. For children and adolescents, I also meet with caregivers. Once the interviews are completed, I provide feedback on a recommended treatment plan..

Short-term Therapy
Therapy will focus on teaching you skills to better manage the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that tend to get in the way. It is intended to be short-term and typically last about 4-5 months. We meet once a week in the beginning and can adjust that as you start feeling better.
